4 Reasons to choose a Boundless Journeys trip in the “New Normal” June 30th, 2020 • by Matt Holmes We are as eager as you are to get back to exploring our world and to doing so responsibly. Our number one priority is the safety of our guests, our guides, the local people you will encounter on your adventure, and your local community when you return home. Luckily, what we’ve been doing for almost two decades at Boundless Journeys (small-group adventure travel) is already well-suited for this new era we all find ourselves in. Here’s why: Fresh Air We spend most of our days outdoors hiking, walking, touring cultural or historical sites, kayaking, viewing wildlife, soaking in hot springs, meeting locals, and enjoying picnic lunches in picturesque spots right off the trail. We explore on foot, immersed in nature, the perfect way to relieve any stress and anxiety that we’ve experienced collectively over the last few months. Leave the crowds behind Our itineraries prioritize scenic viewpoints over museum galleries and wooded trails over paved sidewalks—thus, we limit our time in cities. We prefer to amble on hidden paths and visit less frequented sites (sometimes largely unknown). Small Groups With an average of just 8-10 guests per departure, our group sizes allow us to enjoy things that larger groups simply can’t. We can stay in unique hotels, from quaint inns to luxury riads, and sometimes fill the rooms! We can savor gourmet meals in more intimate establishments frequented more by locals than big tour groups. Just for Us We arrange private experiences exclusive for our guests, from a whale-watch on our Portugal hiking tours in the Azores to visiting a weaving cooperative on our Peru tours, rarely sharing activities with people outside the group. On the majority of our trips, we also benefit from using our own private vehicles. Since announcing our 2021 dates, we’ve received several reservations from people itching to get back on the trail—the best place we think you can be at any time!
