In Spain, amber-and-emerald-hued hills cradle charming red-roofed hamlets and glimmering white villages. Rich, fertile plains and towering mountain slopes offer an abundance of wines and olives, cheeses and figs, rosemary and thyme. It is a generous and lovely land, one best explored along tranquil walking trails that lead to the welcoming doorsteps of monasteries, paradors, and villas.
You’ll discover this country’s rich and enduring beauty when you join a Boundless Journeys Spain walking tour. Along the way, famously friendly Spaniards, wine-tasting bodegas, wonderful accommodations, and delicious traditional cuisine will inspire you from one charming town to the next.
Embark on our Camino de Santiago hiking tour, a journey that follows the faithful’s path from southwestern France to Santiago de Compostela and offers breathtaking natural beauty. Your adventure begins in the Basque Country in the city of Bilbao, where you’ll stroll to the Guggenheim Museum to view its renowned collections. You’ll then walk the Camino, upon which pilgrims have traveled since the 9th century, and ultimately reach Finisterre, one of the westernmost points of the Iberian peninsula. Along the way, you’ll encounter Gothic cathedrals, charming hamlets, and some of northern Spain’s most picturesque mountains and plains.
Your trip to Spain with Boundless Journeys is an unforgettable experience. Our small group tours, consisting of 4-16 guests, are more intimate than most. You’ll quickly make new friends with your fellow travelers, and the shared experience makes your vacation all the more enjoyable. Your tour leader is an expert and a local whose perspective adds depth and color to your journey.
To really get to know Spanish culture, you have to taste it. From local favorite restaurants and picnic lunches to cliffside dinners with spectacular views, your Spain adventure tour includes a selection of meals chosen to enhance your experience. Of course, exploring on your own unearths delights, too—you’ll also have free time to try restaurants, sample street food, and browse shops on your own.
In the evenings, you’ll rest and relax at fine hotels, riads, former palaces, and inns that provide a beautiful sense of place and make you feel right at home.
Reserve your adventure in Spain soon—we limit our Europe hiking tours to small groups to ensure a truly unforgettable experience, and spots often fill months in advance.
